PTFE coated fabrics consist of
PTFE-coated glass fabric.The composites made from tear resistant
fabrics and homogenius PTFE-coating perform extraordinary
properties such as:
- temperature resistance in the range
of -170oC to +290oC,temporarily even higer.Not inflammble.
- excellent chemical resistance to
acids,solvents and other chemicals.
- non-stick surface,low surface tension
and low coefficient of friction.
- physiologically inert,resistant
against decomposition and mould,non-toxic, complies with
FDA and USDA regulations.
- permcability of ultrasonic and microwave
frequencies.
- hight dielectring strength
- resistant to uv-and infrared-radiation,radio-frequency
and CO2.
According to custumer requirements fabrics can be coated very
smooth or structured (fabric print)and with antistatic properties.
PTFE coated fabrics are offered as films in almost impermeable-and
porous-types up to 4 mm mesh size. PTFE coated glass fabric
is available with a one side backed pressure sensitive silicone
adhesive. The silicone adhesive has a continuos operating
temperature range -70oC to +260oC.
Silicone coated glass fabrics are beeing used as cuts,films
and endless belts where operating temperatures do not exceed
230oC. Films of this combination are very flexible,have excellent
non adhesive properties and are also FDA approved for direct
food contact They also have good chemical resistance and exhibit
superiorabrasion properties.It is producedin one or two sided
coated versions and in white or red (with temperature range
of -70oC to +250oC) colours. Silicone coated fabrics have
a wide range of industrial uses,some of the more common uses
are listed as follows:
